Katherine is a perfectionist and draws on her common sense, quick mental ability, and high level of concentration. She enjoys the challenge of being pushed with speed which can be up to 300 words per minute or usually around 250 wpm.  She has gained vast knowledge and experience in her 30 years as a Stenographer and is a deep listener.

Katherine is able to gain a feel for any proceedings and to quickly become familiar with the context and any jargon or principles emerging from the proceedings. This allows her to provide transcription of a very high standard. She has an interest in languages and different cultures.

Katherine O’Brien is widely travelled and has an interest in world affairs. She particularly enjoys international conferences.
